Mojito

  • Mojito – 1 ½ ounces of white rum, ¼ ounce of lime juice, 6 mint leaves, 2 teaspoons of white sugar, fizzy water (flavorless). Okay this one is a little laborious. Take the sugar and 4 mint leaves and put them in the bottom of the glass you are going to serve in. Use a muddler and smash the leaves and sugar together enough to bruise the leaves. You don’t have to go so far as to grind it into a paste though, just enough to release mint oils. Add ice to the glass. Mix your rum and line juice and pour over the ice. Thoroughly stir, add the remaining mint leaves, and top with soda water. Refreshing, cool, and just the right amount of booze for a summer afternoon.
